Mooevo is a Spanish startup with a very close relationship with Fundación Tecnología Social - Funteso. They set up a device designed in part with fab lab principles, aimed to facilitate carers to push wheelchairs.
The MOOEVO device is really impressive:
Long battery life,
easy to use and to carry even to a flat to be recharged,
maneuverable and effortless,
can move up to 250kgs…
They were about to launch the product in March when the lock down started. A big emergency hospital was set up in Madrid by them at IFEMA, an exposition center. They then realized that MOOEVO could not only move wheelchairs but other objects such as boxes with medicines, and other products. And they went to the hospital helping sanitary personnel to carry not just people but other objects.
